Obedience
Puppy Einsteins - This is a great class for you to learn to teach your puppy to enjoy manners and pay attention! It is only for puppies ages 10 weeks to 5 months of age. Pups are taught fun come-when-called games, to sit, stay & lie down, to accept handling and grooming plus mannerly behaviors in general. Most importantly, we teach you how to show your puppy how to pay attention, play and interact with you. Other topics covered will be general socialization, nipping and bite inhibition, bonding and trust exercises. All training in this class is fun & motivational with lots of treats & positive reinforcement. If time permits, classes may end with a puppy play group activity. This allows them to socialize and play with other puppies and new people in a structured environment. Bring the whole family!

Courteous Canine - This is the foundation class for dogs and puppies over 5 months of age that have had no previous training or have been to puppy class (even though there will be some repetition.) Dogs and their handlers learn basic obedience behaviors and manners such as to sit, lie down, settle, stay, come when called, walk without pulling on leash, to leave things alone, and to pay attention to the handler. Handlers themselves learn how to painlessly prevent and/or eliminate undesirable bad habits such as stealing food, jumping on people, and excessive barking. This fun and enjoyable class requires a happy untrained dog, a motivated handler who will practice, soft yummy treats, and a favorite toy. The result of this class is a loving, cooperative partnership that sets your relationship with your dog off to a good start and continues for all of his/her lifetime. Real life training for real life situations!

Agility
Introduction To Agility - This is course is designed to introduce dog & owner to the equipment in a fun & motivational manner. No pressure just FUN!! It is essential for dogs and handlers to learn ground work and two-way attention to each other in highly charged and chaotic trial environments. Dogs learn attention, directions, body & verbal cues, containing & utilizing excitement, and solid team work. Good control and attention skills will be taught.

The dog will be taught how to use their hind legs and rear ends. Dogs will gain confidence jumping up onto tables, moving across dog walk and teeter totter. Students will continue to develop a reliable contact performance at the end of ramps and begin weave pole execution. The three basic modes of handling will be introduced: sending, running alongside, and recalling. The use of directional cues such as go, out, left and right will be taught.

Rally Obedience -This popular new American Kennel Club sport is taking the dog training world by storm. Rally-O is a competitive event, but students don't have to compete to have fun learning these exercises. The behaviors taught in Rally-O are both entertaining and useful. As you teach your dog to spin, walk backwards next to you, drop into a down while you keep moving forward, jump over low jumps, and among other behaviors your dog will develop greater responsiveness and an increased repertoire of things to do with you. Competing is optional!
